That's why I kind of like electric fence and synching young cows.  You can usually keep neighbouring bulls a fence or two away and the estrumate cleans out any "unwanted surprises".  Not sure which is worse, trich or a surprise calf from a heifer and an unknown bull designed for use on cows.
