Went to the western heritage classic this wkend with a list of stuff i am needing (wanting). anyway got there late saturday and didn't have time to see everything i wanted to see but made the races and saw a lot of good friends, but the one thing i really wanted to look for was a pair of step in leggins, or leather to make some. Well i have a friend who has access to leather but i can't seem to find a pattern for any. thought i could make them myself. So if anyone has a pattern that they don't mind sharing i would greatly appreciate it. nothing fancy just some plain leggins with almost no hardware. thanks in advance.

Are you wanting just step in chinks or full leggings? I just had a pair of step in chinks made. The guy that did themjust made the piece that wraps around the back of the thigh a little longer to wrap towards the front. Then punched holes to lace a 1/2' piece of leather through to lace them together.

Let me know if I can help you more. You can also search for armitas and find plenty of pictures to see how they make the step ins.

chinks and or leggins. i understand how they are built but i just can't find a pattern for them. i looked up the armitas and they are not really my style. thanks!
