Anybody from Philipsburg?

I went there last year hoping to find some Fesslers but no Fesslers were listed in the phone book.

They had a ranch next to Gary Cooper's.

They had a ranch next to Gary Cooper's.

Not from that area--but I always thought Gary Coopers ranch was near Helena (which is a long ways from Philipsburg- other side of the Continental Divide)- anyway thats what the Highway signs on I-15 north of Helena indicate....
His dad was a Montana Supreme Court Justice- so that would fit living close to Helena....

I lived not too far from Philipsburg from 1975 to 1993.
Like OT, I am sure Gary Cooper's place is near Helena, not P-Burg.

Oh no! All these years I've been telling people that I saw Gary Cooper's cows.

Sigh. Maybe he had two places? I can't think Myrna F was lying.

Probably safest for me to drop the cow tale and just tell about how my dad talked guns with Gary Cooper one time, my other proudest story.
