jersey, I know everything is relative, but we have had 7-8 inches for the year. I have heard you have a real gravelly soil that takes water like you wouldn't believe, but if we had 70 inches of rain, that would be 5-6 years worth here. WOW.


You know, I don't know what we would ever do if we had 70 inches in a year. Probably float away. The most I have ever heard about us having is somewhere over 20.


I went thru Shoshone Wyoming this last June, and asked a guy what their yearly precip amounted to. He said 6 inches of rain, and 6 inches of snow. Must be an easy country to winter in anyway. :wink:  Variation makes things interesting at the least.
