thanks redrobin

jody - don't have a sale. just kinda do it private... this way folks can have time to go out and look at the cows, no pressure. plus i'm trying to make my own living not a living for an auctioneer, promoter, etc.

This is gonna sound sacreligious but i like the Herefords better than the black bulls. :D :D :D Looks like you are about even with us for trying to dry out. If the frost comes out of the ground out here, i am gonna need floats to get from the house to the corral. I like those bulls. :D And the girls as well.

I like , I like !!

not sure if it is the year, or your bull, but so far out of 11 cows, 4 sets of twins....... and I think we are 70% heifers.....

thank H. ya if i have to use the tractor it had better be real early in the am these last few days or you make a heck of a mess. seems like all the snow ended up in the yard.

just for the record... i can't take credit for the angus bulls. i bought 54 yearlings and 4 first calf pair from ronan ranch this spring all with bull calves on them. 3 of the bull calves were out of their abangomere eston son and the other was out of a Ed Rene Bud son. Geez, listen to me i sound like a darn angus guy. I think they are pretty nice so far. gonna try one of them natural to clean up AI on the first calf angus girls this spring behind this Mac 30K bull. 3 of the pairs were bought by my kids with their 4-H money so i'm going to buy 2 of their bulls to use on the commercial cows and clarky boy sold the other one.

Aren't you comparing two yr old Herefords to yearling Angus?

seems like here at some point i always end up saying - don't have to worry about bulls this year cause they just ain't havin em. but by the end its pretty even. 4 sets is probably more than i'd care to have. might be a good year to be heavy on the heifer end.

we are thinking about saving every heifer....250 acres of grass that will set empty this year, due to down sizing..... more cows are needed, and a heavy heifer crop is just what we wanted
