Strung out for a mile.

About a 2 mile trek in all, so not too far. Glad it wasn't any colder though. Cool breeze and hovering just above freezing.

Our one and only buckskin. End up here by accident but the owner won't return my calls or come and get her. He probably doesn't want her since he knows he owes me for more feed and pasture than she and the calf are worth.

The Trailboss and her cowpokes riding our trusty new steed. We picked it up yesterday, and gave it it's first real workout today. Kawasaki Mule "Trans", with 2 rows of seats. Lovin' it so far.

You have a good looking cowboy crew riding that mule. With two seats on the saddle, your sturdy steed should "ride double" pretty well.

I've heard tell that buckskin beef is pretty tasty.

Your "crew" seems to highly approve of the "mule"....I'm thinking hard that that might be my next investment....I thought they were too big until I watched a neighbor bring his down and cut a snorty onery old cow of his out of our cows and trail her home....He made that mule do things I didn't think a vehicle could do-- got her lined out for home-- and thats the last I saw of them...

We have a nieghbor cow in our pasture too, same thing calls etc gone unanswered.Oh well, she a nice enough cow.Your cattle look good.

Nice pics PC,I like the bosses new mobile, and the boys are really cute little guys.

Had a neighbor wih those "buckskin"thangs. He always said living next to us he got to realy loving Hereford beef!We gave up the idea of getting even after the first one of his we ate.Better to take your loss than give up the best there is.   :D

Your neighbors pay you for feeding the cows that get in on you? Not here we either can call them to come get them and if they don't we put them back. I hadn't ever heard of charging.

CRM,I believe Pure was talking tongue in cheek. No we don't charge for cattle getting in with ours, and yes we usually put them back in. In the case with ours, the "nieghbor" is numerous miles away and had his hired men come over and try and get her into corral and loaded, she jumped our corral THREE times, greg finally said enough, our corrals were going to be torn apart. We've called him a number of times to come run her home with horses, but we're not even going to try that with our horses, she sent one of the cowboys flying off thier horse when they were at our place.

This nieghbor is infamous for having cattle running loose all over the county, heck for all I know the cow Pure has can be owned by the same guy our cow is from.

CattleArmy, this fella isn't really my neighbor. He lives many miles away but rents some pasture close to us. I've had that cow a full year now, and he's never even called. I came about having her because she was out on the road heading for town at a gallop. She had her calf and another pair with her, and we cut the wires and stuck them in our pasture until we could find out who they belonged to. By the time he came last fall, they had broken a few gates and rails, and he only got 1 cow and the 2 calves on his trailer. He said he'd be back to get that old gal, and either help patch fence or pay me for some feed. And, I've never heard but a whisper......
