Well,If I took up rideing again,that's the size I'd need. :lol: .Looks like a nice disposition too..

Looks like the Perches down the road from here.. Although I prefer the grey ones that my neighbor used to raise about 100 years ago.. Great old pictures..

Yes the black is a percheron. He is full blooded perch. He is going to be 3 in june so he's not broke as of yet( he goes for training in the winter of 08) I can't wait to really get riding him. he is so smooth. He stands 17.2 hands right now but is still growing he should finish out 18 or a little over. He does have a very look at me tude, yet is very laid back nothing seems to bother him. I have sat on him bareback in the pasture and pretty much let him pick where to go and he could care a less. I love percherons,Black,Gray,whatever.

is he broke to ride? and how old is he?

he is 7 years old
he was rode some before i got him they said he would not buck when they flanked him so they tried to make saddle horse out of him
but they forgot to get him gentle
i rode him once and he was like riding a big 2 yearold
he's a cross bed not as big as yours and doesn't have feathered feet
but he's not bad
just not gentle

We have a pair of "Canadian" mares that my son drives that looks just like the black. Sort of a dual purpose.
