pictures from lately and back a ways

Great pics as always. Zuchini is the only thing my wife can seem to grow worth a dang this summer in her garden and that stuff grows fast! All her tomatoes are huge plants, but no tomatoes on them.

PS I'm getting sick of Zuchini!!!!!

Variety is the spice of life, and your pictures display much photogenic variety. Every single critter looks like they definitely enjoy living on your establishment. Thanks for the update. :-)

Luv the pictures!
Now for a question: Does that rabbit only have one eye?

And those flies around your horses eyes: here's a tip that won't cost you
anything. Put some bacon grease around the eyes and the flies won't bother them. (Be sure not to get it IN the eyes.) I know, sounds crazy, but it works!! We also put bacon grease on the itchy spot on their belly (navel) and the flies won't gather there either. :-)
I think it's the salt that keeps the flies away. We have done this for years and years! Do you have places where the flies get to chewing on their chests? Put bacon grease there too!

Thanks! Those are the only 2 zuchini I got this summer... :D . Wow, did I fail terribly this summer with the gardens!!! Everything did poorly on my rural water and no rain. I did get a bunch of squash. I'm worse off this year than last I think. I was mowing some weeds a couple days ago and baby bunnies were going down in the cracks in the dirt and hiding where I was at out there... .

"sick of zuchini".... :D

Thanks! All the rabbits have 2 eyes.... :D One of the Californian does just had ear mites, but they are gone now... :D

Bacon grease....I think I have seen you mention that before...and it was to me, but I forgot. I would think the flies would like it....maybe they will not have flies bothering them , but now will have me a'lickin' on them causing raw spots.... :D .

I had my first set of baby bunnies today...YEY!!!! :D

I had my first set of baby bunnies today...YEY!!!! Very Happy

If everything goes right the bunnies should be weaned in 28 days, Rebreed the doe the next day and 28 days later you should have another litter and the first litter should be ready to butcher ( 4# @ dressed weight ) - - - a good doe should give you 48 bunnies a year for 3 years then she can go to the stew pot.

When a 6# doe puts out almost 200# a year that is efficient!

Yes, efficient! Thanks for the info! I had one doe only have one great big still born. One only had 4, but all 4 are fine so far and are pretty big. ...and one had 8 with 1 being still born and 1 died shorty after...the rest growing like weeds. Dealing with all first time moms and me not knowing what I'm doing.... :D . I wasn't really worried about it on their first litter, but have read up on how to breed for bigger litters. It's fun experiencing all of it!
