the pivot walked up this side, then across the head. it got about 3/4 of the way across and the support arms hit the cab, busting the glass and ripping the mirror off.

I took all the bent tin work off this morning and knocked out about 100 acres today. the dust and chaff were a real treat to work in all day. lucky it was not hot out!

the nieghbors drove by and all about broke their necks when they saw it...this is similar to how far the necks turned (just for you Katrina!)

What MPH can you run that machine while cutting in a fairly level field?

We might try one next year. Those tractor pull cutters are almost disposable after a year of hard cutting.

in heavy hay, it runs about 10 mph. varies a bit if you speed up the head it takes more oil, thus slowing the travel speed. in lighter hay, I shift to road gear and cut at 14. New Holland does NOT recommend this, they frown on it when I tell them I do it.

this one is an 18 foot rig. on the one field we have, it is 1/2 mile runs and flat. we average 24 acres an hour. in smaller fields with more turns and some obsticles, it will still kick out 18 acres and hour.

air ride seat, cab, and rear axles make the badger holes almost un noticable. plus the reversible crimper is nice when I run Husker fans through it and they plug it up!

jigs...how many acres do you put up with that? i just got in from cutting alfalfa...got 2 quarters knocked out in the last 2 days and felt pretty proud with the 946 discbind...you probably could run 200 acres through that thing in a day?

on good runs, 200 acres a day, easy. 10 hours or so, but with all the float it has, my legs get real sore so I need to stop and walk around every few hours. I have a problem with fluid building up on the knee cap, or I could sit thee all day long. super quiet cab too.

OH jigs!!!!!! That's to bad........ Just makes ya sick don't it??............
Looks like a really nice machine. Was it insured??
That's so bad you can poke fun at my Huskers and I won't care........

Neighbor has one of those, I think he is on his third.. Seems to be a pretty good deal, he runs a lot of hay ground though and soes some custom work too. Keps trying to get me to buy in on one but I don't like his terms so I'll pass.. I can't imagine what he would do to his son if something liek that happened, lol...
