Differences in different parts of the country.  Hardly ever see road side litter around here.  Of course the general lack of people probably helps that.  There is a spot up the road about a mile on BLM where people often camp in the summer.  Just never see much in the way of litter there.  I do pick up the bottles and cans as they are worth 10 cents in Oregon.
