My MIdget team had their home opener today and they put the wood to Kindersley 8-4. Kind of a different deal for me-I'd only had one practice with these kids and there were a bunch I'd never coached before. There's a few boys from up north and the real deal-big-strong skaters and good hands. The new rules were a bit tough to get used too-e had 54 minutes in penalties-all minors lol. We scored a couple shorties so our penalty kill was clicking. Ty had to sit out his first game ever with his knee-not a happy camper.
