Plenty to be sheepish about...

My wife has sheep... About 50 of them.. I think, I stopped counting, all i do is feed, water and lamb them, move them out to pasture and from pasture to pasture, shear them and haul them to the barn.. Wait, I guess that makes them mine. I think lambing is about one of best times of the year but at the same time one of th worst... Why? Walking into that barn at 3am and hearing 50 ewes and 100 lambs screaming at their top of their longs while trying to get a calf warmed is just about enough to drive me nuts, short trip mind you.

That being said, newborn lambs are just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Little farm flock paid my way thru college, Mine work good as when the big outfits ship lambs off the moutain I fill up the space on the trailors , full truck saves them money and I get top price. Also the dividend check from Mountain States Lamb Coop helps.Hopeing snow will be gone by this weekend so I can start shearing as they suppost to start lambing late next week.Saturday the 15th will make 45 days for calving only 14 cows left as of today....
