Got this in an email and its so true...some words may be inappropriate I'm not sure

Proud To Be White

Someone finally said it.


How many are actually paying attention to this?




There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans.



You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.
You Call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey,"
"Whitey," "Caveman" ... And that's OK.




But when I call you, sprinkler, Towel head, Sand-sprinkler,
Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... You call me a racist.




You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,
So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?




You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King
Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You
Have Ma'uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP.
You have BET.




If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) ... We'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day .. You would call us racists.
If we had White History Month .. We'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives ...
We'd be racists.




We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of
Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?




If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships
... You know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed
Black Colleges in the US , yet if there were "White colleges" ..
THAT would be a racist college.




In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching
For your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights,
You would call us racists.




You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're
Not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride ...
You call us racists.




You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer
Shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running
From the law and posing a threat to society ... You call him a racist.



I am proud.
But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?





There is nothing improper about this e-mail.

I AGREE! even the "natives" up here dont like to be called indians they like to be called natives or first nations. i want to say i want to be called Caucasian next time they call me or any one whites! and u say something that has nothing to do with race and there like ur racist and if the teacher hears that u get a detiontion, how is that fair? :?

Don't forget the All Indian Basketball Tournaments, All Indian Rodeos, Native American Day....just try replacing those with "White".
 
The shoe was on the other foot once when we flew into Guyana.
Everyone in the airport seemed to be either black or east Asian
and we wondered if anything bad happened whether we could count
on the police or anyone to help us. It was a different feeling- like being
estranged and out of the loop, which we'd never felt before having grown up as part of the majority white race. It taught us what it must be like to live in a culture as a minority. And it wasn't comfortable, believe me!!

I think our country would do better with more empathy and remembering each person was created by God for a reason. Just my spin on it.

Our oldest boy was born in the Denver Presbyterian Hospital, as he was a "premie" weighing 3 lb. 4 oz., and coming two and a half months early. My folks came to Denver to see the new grandchild, and my little sister came along. We needed something from a grocery store, so she and I crossed a busy street to go to a nearby large store. When we got in there, the place was packed with people, but we were the only two white folks in there. It was hard for me to do our shopping. I felt like a mare with a newborn colt, because everywhere I tried to walk, I'd trip over my sister. She was hanging close. :wink: :-)
 
I can't believe you left out "Miss Black America"!!!! tsk!! tsk!! :wink: I watched one of my favorite TV shows last night and I was very upset by the "reverse racism" I witnessed in one scene!! Last night (on Cold Case), the WHITE detective has a "crush" on his black neighbor (who happens to be a nurse :wink: )....at work he is listing the reasons to NOT ask her out....single, divorced mom with a toddler at home....NEVER once did he mention the color of her skins!!!! Yet, his black, female co-worker smarted off with "Yeah, like she'd wanna date some old, heavy, balding, WHITE guy!!"....immediate silence ensued in my front room after which demodriver whistled and said "where did THAT come from??" :???: :???:

I've always wondered about racism. Any I've been around has been the indians vs the white guys.

I am awful close to Martin L King's creed and cry. Skin color don't mean a lot to me. I try not to let it enter my mind. A good person is a good person and a bad one is a bad one. Skin color don't mean a lot. We all bleed red.

I always felt like it was cowboys/ranchers vs the rest of the world. :shock:

I am always amazed by those who think that if you are too stupid to do anything else, you can still be a farmer or a rancher. :roll:

I felt the same way flying into D.C. at midnite.......
 
yeap Jinglebob Nailed it. I've always said there's just as many good (whatever color) people as there are bad one's. And there are just as many bad white people as there are any other color.

I've always told my kids that they could have as many friends as they want, of whatever race they might be. But when it comes to datin and marrying.......I'm a firm believer than we are color coded for a reason. Some may view that as racism. I don't view it that way, I just think it's the way God intended us to match up. Ya know...kinda like Garanimals kid clothes......ya find the two tags that are the same, and put em together, pants n shirts...and they match.

But Montana Cowgurl's post has lots of points to be made which are very true. If we as white folk went around doin and saying what she posted..we would be labeled racist.

You don't have to go to Guyana to be extremely outnumbered NR.

Go to the inner cities of Atlanta, Baltimore, New Orleans, or heck just over the county line from me where the black over white ratio is 9:1.

It's very easy to pinpoint those who have spent their entires lives in an insulated world. Their responses are so very predictable. :roll:
 
Life's too short to go worrying about what shade your friends are-look at the pic of my hockey team Ty is the only kid on it that isn't metis. It's funny-he shoots some big deer so is teammates call him poacher-I told them he's the only one can be the rest of you can hunt whenever you want lol. Our cummunity is pretty diverse that way lol.

This is the sort of message that will incite riots, violence and eventual payback!! how very, very sad!! Watched a few of the video comments and it seems most feel like I do......his message about EXTERMINATING the white race is NOT going over very well!! :cry:
 
So is St patrick's day ok? Or are we disliking the Irish now too?

I never understood why people look at what others do or get rather then what they themselves have...Do you folks prefer to live on a ranch and have your one night of tv spoiled by the Miss black america pageant......or live in government housing project and wait all year for the one day you can watch the Miss black america pageant...how many of you people would trade the ranch for the ghetto? So why even care if another gets their own show one night a year?....AS far as the names such as Mexican americans,would not the American part of that be a form of respect?They could just call themselves mexican's or Americans...Even the natives of your country are forced to be called native americans...To me it sounds sad that they cant be "just Americans".If you think minorities are treated better go live like one,but my guess is most folks would rather be white ranchers in American even with all those perks minorities are given...
