I am always proud of the quality of the products Vigortone offers for sale.
I just received this bulletin from the company that I thought I would share with you.

Pet Food Update

As many of you have heard, there have been multiple recalls in the pet food industry by several of the largest pet food companies in the world. These recalls were stimulated in March, 2007 after illness and some deaths were observed in pets. After much investigation, these issues appear to be related to the contamination of wheat gluten (from China) with a substance called melamine which is primarily used in non-food industries. It is uncertain as to how this compound could have contaminated the wheat gluten. Wheat gluten is a very common ingredient used in forming slices in canned pet foods, treats and chews. This wheat gluten appears to be connected to one supplier at this time.

ProviPet brand pet foods have not and do not contain any wheat gluten. ProviPet is not one of the brands affected by these recalls.

ProviPet provides high quality safe nutrition
for your pets.

BIG MUDDY: Is there a grocery chain that carries this dog food, or do you know where to buy it in canada ? I've never heard of it before but would like to try it.

I don't know where to buy it in canada. We live just a few miles from the border so I pick it up from my Vigortone dealer or a lady that gets it from him and resells thru her store. It's resonable priced and my dog does great on it.

Would you happen to know "Chopper" from the Portage pasture?
He lives up by Lake Francis.

MY vigertone dealer doesn't carry it but will order it.. Don't know how long it would tke me to go through a pallet however, lol.. Probably quicker than I would like

Hey Big Muddy: I'll do some calling around here to see if anybody can get it. Ya I remember Chopper. Boy, does that bring back some memories. Short, dark haired. Believe he had a french name. Can't recall it right now, but would know it if I heard it. But I do remember "Chopper". Good guy. We'd have a pasture roping/safety get together every 4 years or so, is where I first met him.
