Agman,in one of your earlier posts you mentioned a traditional spike in calf prices in relation to the summer holidays. Could you relate to us the approximate time periodds these price increases generally occur. I have some late calves I need to sell in the coming months and thought I would wait for one of these "windows of opportunity" so to speak. Thanks.

In a "bull" market trend calves spike into the spring to meet grass demand and then will trend sideways to higher into the fall. In a "bear" market trend, which we are in now, calf price spike in the spring and will trade sideways to lower during the summer and turn sharply lower in the fall as grass deteriorates.
