A nice steady rain started late last evening and continued today. There's a solid 1" of water in the rain gauge. That's the biggest rain we've had here since the summer of 2010. I'm hopin' this is a sign of the drought breaking.

Snow in the high country, rain in the valley, sunset & rainbow all in one shot.

Yes sir! We received six tenths to an inch from a forecast of 40% scattered showers; in the form of a nice easy dribble for 8 or 9 hours, in the northern NE panhandle. It stinks like fighting fire again, except it's not flammable right at the moment. It won't help much cow feed wise in the short-term, but if that gets a wheat crop going, and keeps some corn stalks from burning, it sure can't hurt. What I have heard around, a decent slice of country is getting some good out of this front.
We're sure in better shape here than your country, this "big" rain is only 20% of our year-to-date precipitation, shoot we had over an inch back in April.

We got some rain .30" better than nothing. Felt great today went from 93 yesterday to 55 today. Calling for alittle shot of rain middle of next week and cooler temps than this week. NO 90's!

Some guys around here are drilling wheat might get it up but not much more than that. Still thinking of not drilling any of my wheat but this rain makes me rethink that some.

Landed last night in a rain storm ....drove back in Heavy rain and woke up to steady rain THANK YOU GOD
I dont even care how much LOL ground is soaked LOL

Man, awesome news about everyone getting rain.

Nice steady rain started about 6 this morning here.

Praise the Lord!

So happy for those who are finally getting some rain! There's just nothing like the sound of rain coming down on the steel roof when you've been through a dry spell. Or watching it form puddles and starting a stream running down the lane. I learned that this summer when our dry weather finally broke.

We got maybe a 10th. Sure am glad the rest of you are getting it though. I don't have to worry about getting critters through the winter, so I will get by for this year, but sure hope it does something before next spring!!

We have finally got some of that rain to the last two days. Maybe 1 inch or more. I finally got the try out my new mud tires. I bet Jersey got 10 inches or more, she has better connections than I have.
