Jody, I'm almost jealous, having your convention at this pretty time of year in a great city! AND Baxter Black to educate and entertain!!!
Did he talk about his book "Lessons From A Desperate Poet"? When I began reading it a year or so ago, I kept thinking 'this isn't the B. B. I know'...but soon realized it wasn't just for fun. Great lessons on life for anyone, especially young ranch kids, IMO, but all of us can benefit from his 'experience' in life..........maybe save us some grief, too!
He has grown up nicely since I knew him 'in the beginning' and I'm guessing a lot of the credit can be shared by his family. He is a true asset to the beef industry and has given much to it over the years.
