meadows Ward(LDS Church) fire woods project day last Saturday. Most this wood my brother got, there was 3 wood splitters working to make this wood pile at my mother's house. My little Brother was up Tygee at 6:30 sawing down trees and blocking wood that got hauled to Widow's Homes in the Ward and was split and stacked. Plus a Hugh split pile in a shed at one members place to be use this winter for those neighbors that are having hard times.

Thanks for the great fall colors photo. That is what we were looking for last Sunday when we drove over O'Neil Pass and down Spearfish Canyon. We were too early! Or the color change is too late this year to fit our schedule. It was pretty because Spearfish Creek was running very nice amount of water compared with some years we have taken that drive. The yellows and greens were pretty, and we even saw one guy cutting hay on the mountain meadows! He was getting a pretty fair crop of what must have been at least the third cutting of some type of grass.

What a blessing the great wood piles must be for those who are unable to do it themselves!
