Hi Friends,
I have been thinking for a long while that I would love to meet all of you if possible. Many of you have been so supportive of me and being like family to me. I have been thinking that it would be amazing if we all try to meet in the near future, any takes on this idea?

I can help coordinate the logistics. I am in the Midwest, so I know a lot of you are here too.

Talking about potluck; does anyone have a really good recipe for chocolate chip cookies? Sweetbasil will appreciate it if someone can share one with her...

Use the recipe on the back of Nestle Toll House chips. Just use about half the chocolate chips, and bake on a Pampered Chef stone!!! They have to be the best in the world!!!! Oh, and use real butter.

I have volunteered our place before and will again. Between our house, the bosses house, who is never here, the bunk house, and my living quarter trailer, we have bed space for about 20 people.

Soon as I get my haying done, shop finished, cattle gathered, weaned, shipped, pregged, old corrals torn down and new built, a bit of rock pulling in the meadows, firewood cut, and a few other tasks I haven't found yet, I'll be there.

But then, it'll probably be winter.

I don't know about our potluck ever happening... I wish we could coordinate something as I would love to meet as many of you as I can before I kick the bucket.

I don't think a pot luck is feasible. How long can you safely pack food?
We don't want a bunch of food-poisoned ranchers/farmers. :shock: The news media might find out and jnstead of giving us REAL news, they would talk on an on about ranchers/farmers and unsafe food........

We'll get something figured out, sooner or later. Just keep bringing up the idea, and remember, most of us are ranchers or farmers, so it might be best to not be near a big city. The gals might show up, but I'm not betting the guys would!! But hey, maybe I'm wrong.
