I have to admit, I browse this forum a lot more often than I post. That is a positive attribute of this forum. There are a lot of people that gain a lot just from the information and comradery (sp??). I usually log on about once a day just to read and see what's going on. I work a day job, run cows on the side, and have two teenage kids so sitting here making multiple daily posts isn't a priority for me, and I'm not saying anything negative about the regular posters because without them, this place would have little activity. I'm just saying this because we would probably all be surprised and the number of people that just lurk in the shadows and don't ever show themselves and make posts.

I know that if I am looking for information, there will be a dozen people offering advice based on years and years of experience. What works for one, may not work for another, but that's a good thing because if nothing else, it is also interesting to see how things are done in different places.

It doesn't take much reading to figure out who the truly genuine farmer/rancher/stockmen are in places like this. They are the ones that will be the first to offer words of advice or encouragement when someone needs it, but darn sure won't waste a lot of breath bragging about how well they can do something or get hung up on whether they are a cowboy, cowpuncher, dirt farmer, or kansas sheep farmer. I will say that I believe most of the people that frequent this place are genuine.

I want to say thank you to all of the regulars on here. I've learned a lot and been entertained quite often and that is why I keep coming back.

Thank You Kola. You are one of the Genuine ones here. A genuine liberal, but genuine none the less........

BTW, WTH is a kolanuraven anyway?? Does your handle have a meaning?

I agree with Richard. I, myself don't often post unless I want specific advice, but I do read regularly. The regulars on the site definately make it fun to read what is going on in the ranching world. I also like looking at the photos.
