new to others,, I hope. About eight or nine years ago we took horses to Fisher Tower, east of Moab Uth. Beautiful, but different country. I remember it more as a nightmare than a dream. If I remember right, we rode 32 miles that day and then drove 250 miles home.

I was more than ready to set on something different than the saddle.

They said this was Onion Creek,,, I wondered why I was crying. Now we had to ride 16 miles back to camp.

The forth picture was Fishers Tower. This is the tower with some "rock climber" on top of it.

That was quite the ride.

Pretty country but I think you would want somebody along that new their way around. :D

Did I give you the impression that we were "wandering in the wilderness."
:D :D

You and John Wayne probably rode some of the same trails. Thanks for the pretty pictures.

I'd like to think so. I'm aware of movies John Wane was in that were shot in Monument Valley and around Kanab. Did they make some in the Moab area ?

Beautiful, thanks! Going into that super narrow canyon would have creeped me out. One rock falls, you're stuck.

Rocks are something to consider, but flash floods are what I think about. One time, airplane noise had a couple of us looking at each other with sober faces for a minute or two. It sounds a lot like the roar of rushing water when you can't see the sky.
