Got a call from a neighbor that one of his calves is on my side of the fence this evening and he didn't know when he could get it back on his side. I told him I'd take care of it for him. No wind..... real comfortable temp..... not a cloud in the sky.....shooting stars all over the place......just shaping up to be a great night. I just got in, but want to go back out.

headed to go find the calf

found it

worked them along a fence until I got some what close to a gate, then went around them, opened it, went back around where I was and put it back over on his ground. The calf worked real easy. I had to tap it on the butt a few times to keep it going. It made zero attempts to go back through the wire.

some help ended up arriving.

I know that calves can be escape artists but for one to get through" your" fence , it's got to be part Houdini!!

nice pic's and thanx for taking us along on the ride

Those are some Headlights you have mounted on that horse. :D

:D At times, it would be nice to have a roll bar overhead decked out with all kinds of lights, lights mounted on the breast collar and stuff :D

Great pictures!!

Thanks! I tried to get more and better ones, but my camera hates taking pics with the flash on.

Thanks! Yeah, the calf had to of gone under fence I didn't build. :D ...still nice 5 strand fence though. His cows are pushing the fence up trying to eat grass on me. From what I seen this morning out there, I better go fix some spots because it's kinda high in spots now down low...especially where a little washout is already there.

I'm going to hide this in here....some things I have been making out of pallets and scrap wood as of late. If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find ya handy.....well, I'm niether, but working on it..... :D :D :D

Frosty must ride a fast horse cause he sure carries a short rope.

Your puttin' Red Green to shame with all that "Handy" work. Pretty nice, you better get it on Ebay and you'll be able to go back ranchin' just for the fun of it. :D :D

:D :D Frosty will be holding the reins of a real fast saddled horse or reindeer one of these days... :D I'll take picks of him in the branding pen next year for fun too... :D

Thanks! I've accepted the fact that I'll never have two nickels to rub together... :D There's WAY too many imperfections on my signs to sell for money, but sometimes I can't sleep, so it has been fun and relaxing to mess with them when that happens. Especially since I'm grounded from making blogs and building websites.... :D It's kinda sad how long it takes me to do even the simple ones. :D

I lived with my Grandma and Grandpa for quite a few years during school and until I set out on my own. They had 3 or 4 tv channels. We watched the Red Green Show every week... :D I still roll when I think of the episode about whaling....lol. When the guy said how long it took to tire the whale out from pulling the boat around, I about died. :D ....and the one where Red is patching the foundation because mice are getting in.....he is patching all the little holes and goes right by a huge hole where a window used to be. :D

Thanks! I'm adding 4 heifers to the herd next year, so I'll probably be spending all my time riding the herd keeping track of them all... :D :D

You ARE pretty handy RA! :D

You do need to come up and find just how loveable bears are though.

Thanks! I believe I've seen how cute and cuddley bears can be in some of the pictures you've posted... That sign is for my mother in law. She has a bunch of bear stuff and wanted it. She doesn't have a real one though, so maybe we can capture her one and set it free in her bear room to get the full appreciation of them... :D :D

Nice pictures, R A. You are also quite crafty with the woodworking. Thanks for sharing your handiwork.

Thanks! ....just messin' around. We hang them where people can't get too close to them...like not within 30 feet and keep the light low... :D

Pleasant surprise when I saw that second set of pics. They are pretty nice, whether you believe so or not. :D

Most of that "Folk art" stuff isn't supposed to be perfect. that's what people like about it. It's hand made not by a machine. :D

The photo's, cattle, etc. are great, and fun to see.

The wood craft IS worthwhile. "Re-imagined, rustic, hand crafted"......all sell very well. Maybe you just need an advertising manager.....didn't FH do that as a career for a while?.....and she's as close as your keyboard! If this snow storm predicted materializes, she might appreciate a diversion.

Sorry, FH, just couldn't get the ideas shut off!
