Aaron is right on the mark.

That is why I no longer order from the big name folks - Cabela's, Bass Pro and so on. They will not reduce the price on the sticker.

They even have a special section that deals with Canadians - because of taxes and duty and "extra's".

Even "made in the good ole U.S. of A." will ding you for postal and federal and provincial taxes.

Depending on the item it can often make the final take home price all most exactly two times the original sticker price.

And we have not even taken into account the exchange rate.

So, we do our absolute best to avoid any purchases from the U.S. of A. - it has to be vital to the operation before we even look south of the border now.

So much for free trade.
