We had a great time on our trip. Left monday morning and got home friday night. Looked at 3 different RA places and met Hereford 76 and his wife and daughter...didn't get to meet the boys tho. Bought a bull from him and got a good look at his cows. They are great people and have very nice cows! This is just a smattering of pictures. If you want to see all 83 I put on FB here is the link. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152271305370694.927095.903205693&type=1

We'll have to investigate this further

Highlight of the trip was spending Thanksgiving with my cousins. This she and I and her two granddaughters. We went Christmas tree hunting after Thanksgiving dinner.

Sure is cool seeing pictures of other places. That might as well be another planet as much difference as there and here.

Gotta love muck boots!! Nicky, in the photo of the 2 guys, is one Mike and
one Hereford 76?

I'm glad you had nice weather for your trip. We have a storm coming in,
so far it is south of us, but I don't know how far west it goes. Anyway,
glad you made it home safe and sound. Nice you got to see family as well.

Looks like a good place to buy a bull! Of course, eventually we will want
to see a picture of him!

Thanks for the pictures, looks like the RA cows are sticking their tongues out at you. You need to swing down our way so you can put those Muck boots to good use ( over 8 in. of rain this month).

Thanks all, we couldn't have asked for better weather! FH, yes that is Mike in the cowboy hat and Hereford76 in the ball cap.

it was great to meet you guys. sorry about not meeting the boys - just got so wrapped up in the conversation. it is good to meet folks like you guys that actually care about the breed and see the same values i do in it. i could have listened to you guys talk Hereford the whole night. kinda neat, you guys were the first folks i met at this place first and then in person - everyone else i know on here that i've met in person i knew them prior. anyhow - somehow it felt like i've known you guys for a long time. thanks for the hug too nicky. looking forward to seein your outfit!

GM88 - you aren't hereford hided? i think it was about 50 degrees that day.

Those are some great pics for sure, thanks for posting. There's some awful big and scenic country in those photos, not to mention great looking cattle.

We could've talked longer too, hopefully you can stay a couple days when you come. We now have met 4 people from ranchers in person. I figured a hug was in order since I've 'known' you for 8 years...I'm sure you are one of the first people I started talking to on here. :) I tried to find the pictures on FB that you took of the bulls this summer, but couldn't find them. Could you post the pic of our bull from then?

here nicky... thanks again.
picture was taken 6/13 - so he was 13.5 months old.
i'll try and take a better picture of him. i'm wishing i would have used him as a yrlng. maybe i could get a fella to jump him before he goes west.

:) Thanks, I'm sure something could be arranged :P

think i'll look into it... there is a relatively local guy that is set up mobile to collect without all the stud fees/etc. need to get exact name and address for his pedigree transfer? about makes my blood boil writing a check to the AHA.

Aww come on Ace, you know the AHA is gonna use that money wisely. Prolly got a wine tasting event to fund .....

somethin to make the polled kansan breeders feel special anyhow. quit enticing me - your gonna make me want to delete myself here too.
