The horse in the bosal isnt mine. My two rein bosal is at a braiders right now getting made smaller. Thats why I wrote that essay on fitting the two rein bosal. Figgured if I was doing it wrong then somebody else might be doing it wrong as well.
That one picture of Major is mine though, but thats an old photo of him when he just turned three. Right now he is still being ridden in the hackamore.
Its the Mare that im thinking about breeding thats soon ready for the two rein.

Roper I know you said that that isn't your horse, however, for me the bosal is to low Looks like it needs to come up a little.

Yeap up to the solid part of his nose.....I don't know how better to explain it without findin a picture of how the hackamores we use fit. I do have a picture somewhere on disk I think..........I might be able to find it tomorrow and post it.

You see, I used to agree with you. Thats why I started all this two rein discussion. Haha To spread the word!
What I have been saying about the two rein is what I have recently learned from Mike Bridges. According to Mike 99% of horses will work better from this two rein bosal position. It does vary a little bit from horse to horse.
That two rein horse in the picture is Mike Bridges horse "Smokey".
I got <recieved it last night>my 3/8" bosal made <cut and redone>smaller so I can use it based on what Mike has said.
The next time I get a horse going in the two rein then I can tell you for sure how it works for me. But Mike has been right with all of his teachings so far <about the hackamore>so I see no reason to doubt him on the two rein and bridling process.
IMO From what I have seen, Mike Bridges is turning out really good horses. I know one thing for sure, so far he has been a tremendous help to me.
