Had a bit of excitement today helping round up some strays. Buffalo not cows. About 30 head escaped from a local ranch six miles from me and went through quite a bunch of fences before ending up in a barley field just east of me. Well that's where one group ended up - they split into three groups all together and headed different directions.
I spy the escapees.
Following way behind as we trailed them gently up the road towards a neighbors corrals - using a tame buffalo as bait.
One group mostly captured and corralled - heading out to find a few that took off - the owner leading the bait buffalo to attract them.
All's well that ends well - they got them all corralled. I won't complain about cattle being difficult to work with for a while - man these things are spooky, it would take way more patience than I have to work with buffalo.
