It came in a day early. It sure is nice. It even came with a hoof pic holder and has rings to hook tje breast collar on. Its build on the association tree with rose bud and vine stamped leather. It just need about a gallon of mineral oil and its a saddle. I rode it today, me and trey, helpin a buddy move some cattle out of a woods pasture. My horse showed a little cow. He feals like a lot of horse under u. Got some cowdog pics to. Yesterday, I got stuck at my place. I've always pride myself in gettin around up there not gettin stuck. But I was bringin my cattle to some round bales that got put out the night before that they aint fount. All was well, till the cell phone rang. Oh well. My buddy was close. He got me out then I helped him with his water pump for his cows. I kind of like my shaved head. Real lo mantanince

I guess I didn't see this when I posted you pics over on Ranch.
Yea the saddle looks real nice. We use PURE Neatsfoot oil instead of mineral oil. Skidmores is also a good saddle dressing after it's oiled.

Getting stuck seems to happen at the most inopportune times. At least you have a cell phone to call for help. :D

Its a corriente. I've got several in the last few years and wayne has always been good to deal with. He's a christian to and alway keeps me on his prayer list at his church. I got trey one when I was not doin well. I wonted to get somethin ingraved on it, me thinkin I was fixin to die. But I figered it would be best just left alone. I got a nother for a youngin that had been all but throwed down by his folks. His granny said it turnt him around and he's workin down south with some kinfolks in arcadia on a big ranch. Money well spent. Then my little girl got her's at christmas. I had ordered one a while back from corintillo. Idencally built like a corrinte but with the bars set up for a mexican mustang witch is simular to a cracker. Been waitin over 2 mos for it and just got tired of waitin. If it gets here, my wife will have her a new one. She's got her eye on my little cracker filly, donkey. Anyways, we'll all be lookin sharp with our new outfits. These mexican saddles are well built. There not a billy cook or some like that, but u get a lot of bang for the buck. 650 dollars and it will be at ur house soon.

I reckon meskin saddles are buit better now kinda reminds me of the time me and elmo were at the oso negro cantina in piedras negras he saw a saddle shop across the road bought a saddle crowed about that meskin saddle for 30 days till we got cought ina rain storm once only shelter was a mesquite bush bout 5 foot tall was a good ways back to camp it dont rain much in that dessert country but when it does it can drown a duck with a umbrella, anyway that ole meskin saddle started loosin leather time we made camp bout the biggest piece of leather left on that ole jug butted mare of his was the size of a bar of soap in a mexican bordello.
good luck

So he came back ridein the tree? Did he! I seen some of them old mex saddles with the big wood horn's stickin up. I think they were tourist saddles. Peaple have been ridein these around here for years with only a few problems. Wayne seams to stand behind them. I think a saddle needs to soak up a lot of oil when new. That way, its not soakin up water. Oil perserves, water rots. Mineral oil don't stain and is real cheep conpaired to highpowered saddle oil whitch will sure give your legs and stratel a good oilin. I think a gallon of food grade runs about 6 bucks. Well its 4:30 in the mornin. Got to bed with no head ake and no steroid. Just ambien, oxycodone and 1 smerinolf ice. Maybe I can get down to just a glass of organic whole milk soon.

Those corrientes have a fair reputation,I think there have been a few posters here that tried em and had no complaints, heard that some of them are made on this side of the river and some models are mexico made,I reckon its like ever thing else in life.............differnt strokes for differnt folks.
truth be told a man could probably pay a helluva lot more for less, namely circle Y,in there day they were fair saddles,I bought a new one couple years ago, pretty light and flimsy, gave it to a youngster and had a couple made.
good luck

PS before you oil that saddle........turn the stirrups, set it on a stand or sawhorse what ever and get you a spray bottle of water, soak the stirrups, front and back good till they are soaked drippin, work the water in till they are soused, then get you a stick and run it thru your stirrups so's they are straight, let em dry completely, for a few days, wont hurt it then oil good.

Yea, I got it on a rack with a 2 by 2 threw the sturips. But no water. It takes a little longer but I won't oil deep in that leather. A buddy of mine soaked his new one, on the horse, with a water hose. I like to paint oil on one. I guess I'm sort of a pervert. I love cleanin up a old saddle and watchin them absorb oil. Then hangin them up to take up space.
