There is a place in Sutherland Springs that we really like. It is in Floresville isd so I am guessing it is near there. We are coming back in August to narrow down our search and look at some of the houses with an agent. After that we will be waiting for our house to sell, which is hopefully quick but could be delayed a few monthes as Hurricane season should soon be in full swing. We live inland but had a lot of damge from Wilma to our home and barn so we will see. I finally got my new barn and some of the upgrades I wanted at the house (thanks to Wilma) but now someone new can enjoy them.


The place we are looking at isn't big by definition compared to most of the ones on this message board, but it has lots of open pasture so thats fine with me. The places down here near us are going for about $80,000.00 - $100,000 dollars an acre, so hopefully we will make out good enough to do the upgrades we want at the new place. We dont have a big place at all here now, that was part of the reason we were looking out that way. You can't buy 5 acres here with a house for less than $450,000.


Do you guys get ag exemption on horses there?
