The oldman still has his buck tag lol. Had a cool deal last night-I'm not much good to walk cause of this liver deal but there's a little spot I like that's only a 1/4 mile hike-I had to hunt crosswind but got within about 300 yards of two pretty nice bucks-one up and comer and one older guy-they had the usual posse of does and pisshead bucks around them. The younger buck must of caught a bit of my wind because he came stomping up at me and did the head bob-foot stomp trying to get me to move. It seems deer up here need two of their big three senses-smell, sound, sight alerted before they'll bust. He's a beautiful young buck probably 135 and about a 20 inch spread but he'll be a pounder in a couple years-the older buck was more tempting but I'm going to let Emily check him out. We have a five week rifle season so a guy can be patient. I'd hate to shoot one in +40F and miss that -40 stuff that we get at the tailend-you learn to skin the legs out first.
