Those are pictures of a calf that escaped being dinner for a grizzly. He never did heal up completely and we had to put him down.

The bear eventually "became shot" also. :wink:

This particular bear was a young male and made a botch killing job on two calves and a cow before he killed a cow and a calf. We do get compensation for animals positively killed by predators at 50-70% of their value.
