i heard a rumor that the man who shot the 28 point buck has been offered half a million for the deer from Cabelas, just wondered if you would take the money??

a couple years ago a lady from Marion Kansas shot a huge non typical. she sold it to Cabela's, and had a fake made of the antlers.

so she got the best of both worlds!

I caught the record (no longer) for "Kentucky Spotted Bass" back in 1976.

Bait store offered me $500.

No, I didn't take it.

Were you worried that upon closer inspection they would find where the .22 bullet got him?

I have stuck a few while bowfishing!

B.S. as I have seen these pictures floating the net and not even close to a world record, if cabelas has that kind of dough to piss away better off shopping somewhere else!

The Milo Hanson buck shot back in 93 I think, is the new typical world record and I don't think he was close to a half million nor would he be today, as one never knows when these records will fall again!

There's a few iconic whitetail bucks are worth alot of money-the Jordan, the Hanson, The Hole in The Horn buck etc -not sure what they'd bring if they were ever sold. There was a big court case over the world nontypical Mule deer that was shot in Alberta-pretty much divided the Broder family.A world recod deer is a pretty huger drawing card for a store-there are alot of us deer geeks out there. Milo Hanson is just a good old Saskatchewan farmer who didn't mess up when the buck of a 1,000 lifetimes passed by him. The Hanson buck scores the highest but when you see it you wonder just how big he would of got he was only 3 1/2 years old.

My Dad offered a very nice Bull Elk to Cabelas for the new Denver store a while back. They said they pay only the cost of mounting and very little more. I would have to see it in writing to believe an offer that big.

Not Here, You also can't harvest roadkill or raise or farm any wild game.
I guess it varies by state. Big fines and penatlies.
