Interesting pictures, Soapweed! The "PPPP for P" photo would make one believe that your area never gets wind to tilt them a little! They are indeed standing staight and tall I'm often amazed how the little everyday things that are around us can be so striking in a photo. Now slow down a little so you can keep on clickin' that camera :wink:

Soapweed, are the ranchers holding on to calves a bit longer in hopes of improved prices? We usually start buying Sandhills calves about now but it seems the runs at the sale barns are not nearly like they were at this time last year.

At least in our part of the country, there has been adequate moisture for the pastures to still be in good shape. For that reason, there is no urgency to get rid of calves early to save feed for the cows.

If you need some good black-hided calves, our biggest and best steers will be selling at VLA on October 2nd. Extra bidders are always welcome. :wink:
