Now you have some Christmas Card photo's. We are having a good old fashion rip snorting zero visibility blizzard right now.

So has the state of Texas shut down yet??? lol How come TP doesn't have a blanket on??? He'll catch cold..lol Did ya dig out yur coveralls today? Ya got to admit snow does make for cool pictures...

Toilet Paper was worried that he was turnin App. And sorry.....they don't get blankies. I have one......someone gave me one time.....half the buckles are ripped off.....and I ain't fixin it. They'd prolly all come from together if we tried to put blankets on em LOL

I had my coveralls already dug out.....from a week ago 40 degrees at an arena till 9 pm or so.....it was cold. But I was warm

I think they thought about shuttin Texas down....but it all melted before sundown. We are supposed to have a pretty hard freeze tonight, so the roads might be slick till it warms up some in the mornin.

And yes...snow makes for cool pictures.....but I'm glad it's not an every day thing.

22 degrees as I type in Bandera County.....frost on the windshield.....at work in Kendall County there was about 30 minutes of flakes in the air and man people were buzzing! It will go in the history books as the "big snow of 2009" haha

Has the cold and snow slowed down the illegals crossing the border? |I bet some of them illegals who woke up to snow wondered how they got north so quick!

Probably rechecked their smuggling itinerary and routing!

Cool pictures, Jersey Lilly. 8) My favorite one is of the dog by the fireplace. Is its mouth open extraordinarily wide or is that an ear hanging down? Either way, it might need doctoring.

Haha that's her ear. She's got the fireplace thing figured out. Comes in from outside, and if it's goin....that's her first stop. She jumps up there....sits with one side turned towards the fire for a lil bit....the rotates and "cooks" the other side. Hops down then goes and burrows down into her blankie.

We kid all the time that she's "rotisoryin"

the thought of snow in texas is amusing, makes me glad for our location :) we currently have about 6inches on the ground the only drawback is the tempature is currently minus 17celsius

Growin up in west Texas it wasn't unusual for us to have snow 3 or 4 times a year. I remember one year getting about 12 inches in one snow.

The amusing part is South East Texas where we live now. It's been 40 some years since they've had a measureable snow here. Last years dustin didn't really count LOL (makes me glad for our location) I'm not one that could put up with havin snow 6 mos of the year or more. I'm fond of our 60 degree average temperatures durin the winter.

Didn't know that you'd have need for a fire place in SE Texas! It was 8 below farenheit here first thing this morning and I was wishing for a fireplace!!

Alot of people have fireplaces down here. This cold damp humidty will seep into your bones. COLD!!! We have quite a few nights down in the 30s durin the winter but it's usually drizzlin. I'd much rather build a fire in the fireplace than crank the thermostat up.

We had an ice storm back in 94 and it stayed right at 16 degrees for 4 days, no electricity....I learned then that I can cook a pizza on a wood stove LOL
