Its snowing again!!! I really need some heat to get grass started. Don't know how GCreek does it. I am tired of wearing MUCK BOOTS!! Just have to keep telling myself that we will have grass when it does warm up.

That was the weather we woke up to here on Saturday after a few nice spring-like days. :roll: The ground was white again but it pretty well all melted by nighttime.

The grass is starting to green up but still not enough heat to make things grow.

We've got 6" to a 2 foot on the level.Have'nt seen dirt since Dec 4th

Well, Denny & WP, we have seen dirt and lots of it. That snow sound pretty good to me.

So far we are at 3 inches, and right at freezing. It was snowing hard enough, right after daybreak, that I had trouble seeing critters in a 2 acre pen. Got soaked to the bone, and in to get dried out. Sure do like the moisture.

I got my first calf out of the cows Sat night. Love the moisture but come on sun! :lol: Walked through them in a blizzard this morning and didn't see any more yet. Hope they wait one more day :!: :wink:

Old snow is slowly creeping away, Morrison Meadow place is bare. It would be nice to have a liveable home there instead of calving on a mountain top.

this is the longest winter on record in our part of the world. We still have two feet of snow on the level and we have not seen dirt since October 23 last year.

Oh Yeah! Dirt in the air or smoke is not good, but my memory is good enough I can remember wondering if it would ever dry out, but it did!

Hopefully the end of the 7 day for Central Iowa is a sign of a pattern change for the Midwest.
