The red heifer has the best momma she never leaves her side and the other heifers mom kinda doesn't watch her but she is off weaning already she doesn't drink from mom anymore and we have a bunch of cattle so the heifer or if we keep both will have buddy's we have baby's being born 24/7 so all the calves have buddies and then the ones we don't like are sold usually we give them a second chance if they are bulls and just take them to the sale barn and see if a rancher buys one for a bull prospect because what we do with the bull calves is let them grow up in a separate pasture after weaned we let them get to 1 or 2 years old and then we bring them to sell barn sometimes though we sell them right after weaning we only keep ones in a different pasture if we feel like they have potential but we are for sure keeping the all brown heifer the smallest one but we're not to sure about the 2 heifer on the 2nd photoIts hard to judge at that age. Can you keep both for a year and then butcher or sell the second one?
Which one has the best Mom? The hfr might end up being nothing like her Mom but if you like the Mom its a good place to start.
If you do just keep one. After weaning can you keep it and raise it with at least one other hfr its one age? It will be better if she has a buddy.
