Ok I'm a college student and I don't exactly have as much time as I use to to spend with my horses. Yesterday my mom said that I either start riding my horses, paying for their care, or sell them. I really don't have the money to pay for their feed and stuff, and I don't have the time to ride them all of the time. I'm lucky to ride once a week. I really don't want to get rid of them. I don't know what I should do. GoGo is a 7 yo paint gelding that I just broke over the summer, and he learns really quick and has a level head, but I don't have the time to spend with him really. Wyatt is a 10 yo QH gelding that is bomb proof when he's with other horses, and when he's alone he can rear up and get dangerous. He use to be a team penning and ranch horse. The one thing that'll really put him over GoGo is that if and when I get thrown off Wyatt stays there GoGo takes off and thinks its a game to catch him staying just out of reach. So I guess the question is if I get rid of one which one should it be? the thing is i'd want to get that horse back when i'm done with school.

You have a HUGE behaviour problem with that 10-year old horse.
Who could you sell him to with a clear conscience? He will hurt someone.
The 7-year old is pretty old to be green broke. The older they are
the more riding they take unless they are real solid horses
at 7 years old. This one is going to just get older and
not any more experieced. Bad combination, IMO.
I would sell them both. But don't expect to get much for them.
BTW, the world is full of nice horses. When you are ready for the
responsibility of a horse, you'll find one that you will think as much
of as you do these. In the meantime, be aware of what you can do
so your next horse doesn't act like your 10 year old.

Geezzz even I got to agree with FH on this deal.
A 10 yr old horse SHOULD NOT, if properly broke and trained, be acting like that.
Getting thrown is a known danger of horses & happens to all of us, but sounds as if you're raising that chance with these two critters.

I'd have to agree here, and if this helps you at all, I had to sell my 2 3-yr old horses a few years ago,in 2002, due to a divorce, and priority of feeding my kids, or the horses. It was a REALLY hard decision to be able to let them go, but I had no time for them as well, with full time job and 2 little kids. Long story short, I just bought one of them back last September...the "Lady"(I say that VERY SARCASTICALLY!!!) Wanted a different colored horse, and sold mine to the kill guy for $100. I bought him back from that guy for $450. He's now 7, and better behaved, considering. Not sure what happened to the other one, but heard he's on a barrel circuit somewhere. (If anyone's seen a now-7 yr old APHA breeding stock sorrel gelding, left rear sock, no other white, registered name "R Royal Trouble", please let me know how he's doing! I miss the little monster!)

i guess ur all right, but i don't know anyone who'd want to buy these guys. The only one i know is a horse dealer thats about 90 y/o and said he'll only trade, and to be honest he doesn't have any descent horses anymore. He also tends to be quite mean to the horses that are there. I guess i should've took the $2500 i was offered for the 10 y/o at the time.
