I have been so busy lately we haven't had time to resize, upload and post, but I have some good ones so will waste a little more time this am and get them here to share. By the way, my hubby is k_ranch, so you know who we are.

Good pics-- looks like everyone uses the door trick- no wonder all ranch trucks look like they been thru a war.......

Great Pictures Ranch Mom!!!!

your kids are havin the times of their lives with the calves.
And your lil snow queen, she's just darlin'!!! (Looks like her daddy coulda been the michillin man) hehe kiddin

You sure do have a nice looking family. They look like they were enjoying themselves.

Thanks so much! I love my babes and of course I think they are a gorgeous group. Their daddy is trying real hard to look like the Michelin Man, but he has a ways to go yet. lol

Yes, I am a picture nut, so when you're sick of em just let me know
Blame it on Soapweed, we liked looking at his pics so much and hubby said, you have all these pics, you should put some on. So here we are.

It is so nice to have a place where we feel like the people understand where we are coming from and we can identify with.

Good pix! Thanks for posting them. :)

Looking at _k on the fence and using the door, gave me a good idea. Why don't Soapweed or one of you other smart folks, invent a tagger that you can just reach out the window and tag the calf, so you don't have to get out or off from a horse or 4 wheeler?

We have vaccine guns on a stick, why not a tagger? :???:

I'll expect results by next calving season, on at least the prototype!

Sounds good to me Jinglebob :) If I had my way we wouldn't tag but my computer geek wife wants to keep records on everything  I'll admit it is handy when things need mothered up for what ever reason. The main reason I do tag is my summer pasture is 25 miles away and wrecks can and have happened getting them there.

I didn't know the camera was around when the cow put me over the fence, it was a grafted pair. I was feeding hay in other pens and heard the snort and saw the look, she meant business and later had the paint on her head to prove it :!: I hate to ever let a critter bluff me out but ya can't argue with a good momma cow.
Most times cowboys don't like fences :cowboy:

I usally check early in the morning with the pickup and tag everything then. Also give a shot of Alpha 7 and cut a swallow fork in the other ear. I've got so I just take a short tie down rope and hogtie the calf then get all the junk. To much stuff to carry if the calf needs roped or grabbed.

And we have the Animal ID chip/tag to worry about in the near future :P :)

Ranch mom-simply awesome family and life style for those kids  My favorite was"snow queen" she is adorable. Thanks so much for taking time to post pixs when you are SO very busy.

Ranch mom, k_ranch,
you all fit right in here, glad you are having some input, these are some of the greatest people you could ever meet. Keep posting pictures, we love seeing others places and how others do things. I will not bore you with too many poems, I'll just let Hanta take over and be my little shy self.
Hope that we shed some light on your quandry.

So great to see your little munchkins. Do city kids smile that much I wonder? My girl is a blondie, but yours with the dark soft hair really made me go "awwwww". Just wanted to snuggle her.

As my dad would saw when we were kids in his imitation Swedish accent. "Dey are so coot when dey are leetle." :D
