Hey folks, I've been watching Ranchers.net most of the summer and decided to see if you would let another guy join in the fun. Living in southwest NEBRASKA and thoroughly enjoying all God has to offer. Run a cow/calf operation and lease a small feedlot from a neighboring widow lady. The wife and I are currently going through empty nest syndrome. Two kids and a new daughter-in-law in college, so things are quiet at home! My wife likes to take pictures, so I might try to figure out how to post some. Directions would be appreciated! Take care, RBT

good grief! another Husker....that must be 9 or so by now......three more and we will have the whole band wagon of them!!

welcome to the forum.....

Yanuck, I was born and raised at Dickens. My dad still lives there! We now live between Imperial and the Colorado state line. Even know some of Soapweeds relation in our area. It's a small world! Take care. RBT

Welcome cant wait for pictures.
posting them are easy......set up a photobucket account...its free and stores alot of photos.
Save your pictures to a file on your computer...then load them on the photobucket site. Once you have them on photobucket put your curser over the pic you will see 3 lines go down to img and right click to copy then in a message your posting to right click and you have posted a pic.

Just think if we had a bunch of Longhorns now. K-State wouldn't have a chance.

what is a Longhorn?? last two times they met KSU I believe we clipped those horns pretty well...you sure they are not the texas SHORT horns now ? ????

I really like this site. More down to earth people on it. I also like the photos of other cattle as when the calves are born and how they growing now. Helps me evaluate what I am doing.
Was on the phone with people in Nebraska last night they sure had a very practical aproach to what they are doing and what maybe on the horizon.

Is the county fair in Imperial? I think I played music there. I know we played in Haigler at a little afternoon music festival, then went somewhere north of there to play at a fair, and a fellow told me he was from Holyoke CO and it wasn't far away... Nice country out there, and great people. We broke down between Max and Benkelman and those folks were so helpful and nice to us. Glad to have you on here.

Hey Dan, yeah the Chase County Fair is in Imperial. The Fair is kind of our "big event" for the year. Glad you had the opportunity to attend! RBT

You must know about where Lamar is... Nice stretch of country, I've got some connections around there, as well as some childhood memories of holidays.
Is your corn going to make a crop? Or no freeze til later...

HAYtrucker Yea Lamar is just a few miles from where we live. We have had a lot of hail in our area this year. Some guys lost all there corn, and most of my neighbors have had at least some hail damage. Temperatures have been really cool this summer, so we need a late frost and a lot of heat units yet. RBT
