I hope you aint proud of this bull, too much brisket and short legged,he would not work in brush country.

..........good luck

I got to disagree with you on this one Haymaker. That bull looks fine to me. Maybe he won't work in your country, but he'd work here. Might be a touch bigger than I want, but it hard to tell from the picture. I think he's a good lookin' bull. :)

Yeah, not bad ,he looks like he has width/length and muscle, but a little short legged and heavy fronted..............good luck

The one thing I learned is that I will never judge an animal based on a picture alone... I remember having a bull tha I could take 20 difernt pictures of and make him look 20 differet ways. et below him and those legs look long, two far forward and he is all shoulders no but, too far back and he was cow fronted, and so on and so on..

That and after what I saw someone do to one with photoshop I almost freaked...

That being said, you don't eat the legs or the air underneath a bulls belly.. Around here I know he would be fine... Maybe in HUGE range land areas he would not cover the ground but I would need to see him in person and such...

I think that is one heck of a good looking bull Haymaker. For this country anyhow. I do realize that different cattle work better in different areas.

Now I hope he doesn't have certain bloodlines in his background that would make me change my mind.

IL Rancher,we aint talkin about eating his legs,we are talking about how he can transverse rough country.
Yes I bet he would work good in short grass country or on improved pasture, the brush country and pear flats of S Tex,are hard on short legged bulls& cows,.............long legged and short sheathed is what you want...........good luck

We ain't got any cactus that would bother that bull. He's got a clean sheath for this country.

I ain't found any long legged cattle that weigh that well. If they do, they must be the size of a horse.

I like them built like me, short and squatty. Evidently thats where the pounds come from.

The cactus around here might get 4 inches off the ground and we don't have any in the pastures we use for the most part... Maybe a clump here or there of prickly pear... Now, we have one field that is no longer used that is about covered in the stuff.

PS when are you gonna send me some cooler weather ?

Have a front going through here right now. Yesterday at this time it was 92 degrees. Today at this time, it is 66 and dropping.. Great lightshow last two nights, but not much rain, all is to the north of us where they got flooded out.

Cactus here gets about 4 foot,if you are lucky, most of it is about sheath height if you know what I mean, its said every thing down there eithers sticks or bites, usually both..............good luck

And that's what you were probably looking for when you posted, CONTROVERSY!!!!

You seem to bring your personal opinion and grudges from one side of Ranchers to another, to see if you can stir the pot.

Great post Haymaker, you have not let us down one bit!

Is this bull still around home? I'm thinking of coming down for a visit soon.

Would like to take a look at him! If he is the right type, might even be able to get the "right" people interested in him.

You must have some tall cattle if you don't want that sheath toughing a 4 ft cactus.

I dont have any grudges, dont judge me by your actions,I said I like long legged short sheathed bulls to run in pear flats and rough brush for a reason, you have no idea what IM talkin about, matter of fact most of the time you dont know what you are talkin about, that bull looks heavy fronted and short in the front period...........good luck
PS people like you are what is wrong with the board, full of deceit and bitterness,go bother someone else..............good luck

I think you started this post Haymaker just to get a fight brewing you remind me of the middle child always picking a fight.

Your type of cattle would'nt work in this country as ours won't in yours I myself really like the look of that bull and your southern bulls to me would'nt make good steers. The cattle have to work in the environment in which they are bred for. There is a reason Northern cattle bring more money on Superior Video Auctions its called quality and MEAT...

Blowers who cares what you think,I posted the bull would'nt work in rough country, period ....good luck
PS Maybe you oughta stick with welding, your jealousy is showing again,if I need an opinion on welding I will let you know...good luck
