Waiting for the Badger buses to come down the street.

The police, ambulance and fire trucks escorted the kids and coaches out of town on their way to Omaha.

Sirens where blaring, dogs where howling......

This is at the Qwest center. Carter told me tonight that all the mats are brand new for state. And are donated to schools after they are done with state wrestling. And Valentine got one of the mats.......

Class B. That's what we are wrestled across on the other side and class C wrestled on the mats closest to us. Carter wrestled on mat 1 clear to other end on the other side.

Carter's first match is a kid from Boys Town. has a good record of 26-6-0.

Carter did score 3 points

Carter lost this match 3 to 5 and dropped down to the consolation matches where he then wrestled a kid from crete who we did see at Elkhorn but did not wrestle. Carter lost so was out of the competition. We learned alot of valueable knowledge. We have to do somethings much differant next year. And hopefully we will have a vary successful year next year. We did have one state champion with Matt Spain. he was a real asset to the team. Carter really learned alot from him. And we wish him great success in what ever he decides to do. He wrestled a great match and had a great year... You rock Matt!!!!!!!!!

Good for Carter-he'll be a force next year for sure. He's doing very well in one of the most demanding sports there is.

after a loss, people like to tell a kid how "you learn more from losing, than from winning" while this may be true, losing SUCKS.

hope Carter found some pointers from the trip to state, and uses them to his advantage next year

Yes jigs loosing does suck..... But I think he realizes now why they do so much conditioning and what it will take....... Huskermat said that he was the kid with the most talent coming out of state competition. He has put on twenty pounds since Friday. We are glad to be able to all sit down and eat now. I do miss my dieting buddy thou........ The bus got home at 2:00 a.m. sunday morning and the firetrucks, police and ambulances escorted them through town. Carter said they had all the sirens on all through town. He said it was great....... They left as winners and came back as winners. Thank you Valentine for getting up in the middle of the night to welcome the boys back. We've got to change somethings for the boys and then I think the outcome for them will be much better. I do feel sorry for some of the seniors as they maybe didn't get a fair chance, but we just have to communicate a little better with the coaches, athletic director, and the parents......
A special thanks to Northern Rancher for great advice and wisdom..... I am sooooooooo appreciative for it and will constantly strive to be the best wrestling parent I can be..........

Tweren't nuthin'.I hear ya about the seniors-when we went into sudden death overtime it was bothering me that it could of been some kids last shift. carter is a great young athlete whose got good support at home-a combination that's hard to beat.It's soo cool that the town came out and supported the wrestling team like they did.
