Congrats to our Hemingford Bobcats for a great win today and good luck at state. These boys made history last week by making it past the quarters finals in the playoffs, the first Hemingford football ever to do so. And now on to Memorial Stadium to play for the championship, also the first panhandle team in D1 to make it to state since 1986. Thanks to Alliance for the awesome welcome home, and everyone in our community for supporting these boys.

I have always thought that was a cool thing Nebraska does, having all classes play on the husker field....good luck

Wyoming State Football is on Joanna field at War Memorial Stadium at UW. Idaho plays theirs at the Kebbie Dome in Pocatello on ISU campus

in Kansas, the Class 5A is in KU, 4A is in KSU, 3A is in Hays, 2A is Salina, and 8 man is in Newton......

While Kansas served as a great place for the time I was there, and the state treated me very well for 9 years, it sure enough has some screwed up ways of doing things. But then again so does Nebraska and Colorado.

Hays puts on the best state wrestling tourny by far in ks (I still get goosebumps when they come out for the announcement of the finals matches) I just don't see how kids would be that excited to play on fhsu football field. I know it's for the state title but that's not really a special place to play.

wish they would redo the whole football play offs.... Kansas has it really screwed up. however, there are several teams we play in the 8 man division I and II all in the state play offs....no wonder Pike Valley has a hard time winning!

Ya Hoxie had a pretty good run. Just couldn't quite keep up with jetmore. 8 man is sure different. Hoxie made it to the state semi finals and had one kid over 200 pounds that plays. Most of the even the two other lineman are maybe 175 max with pads of. Speed is the name of that game.

Jetmore plays Osborne..... Osborne is in our league. Last year we beat them to advance to the playoffs, but their top runner had a hairline fracture, so we had an advantage..... I am pulling for Osborne to win it all, will make our league look good!

of the 8 man teams in both divisions, 6 of them are schools we play about every year, 3 in our league....pretty tough ball up here....

one thing on Nebraska and Kansas classes...... the Catholic schools need a class all to themselves. they all "recruit" the better athletes from an area to their schools..... they do this, then give them their own class.

Glad you have figured out how to be a good sport and take a loss there jigs, cheering for the other team after they beat you is sure good sportsmanship. Its just to bad you couldn't figure that out when Nebraska kicked your ash all the time, maybe we could have been friends. :)

goes both ways, had husker fans not been so elite and self serving after KSU began to win, I might be able to think they are human and worthy....
