Just a reminder to everyone to please be careful while working on the ranch/farm. You can never be reminded enough.
My next door neighbour got run over by her tractor on Thursday. I don't know yet exactly what happened. She is in the hospital in stable condition. She has 3 broken ribs, severely dislocated hip and other injuries and probably internal bleeding. She was alone at the time of the accident and managed to drag herself to the house to call 911. She is very lucky to be alive. I talked with the ambulance driver that picked her up. She said that she had never seen anyone so grey looking and her blood pressure was extremely low and she was barely breathing when they got on scene. She will have a long road to recovery. Please be safe out there!.

Yikes, glad she is stable and hope she recovers fine. It is easy to get too comfortable with things and not pay attention.

There are 3 ol' gals (60+) we know that have spent time in the hospital since last spring, one with a rank cow and two from 4-wheelers. I suggested to the one the cow rolled that maybe they all needed to slow down a touch and her reply was "good luck with that."

Sorry to hear about your neighbor, JiggerBoss. Can people who live alone
and work outside wear one of those LifeAlerts so that they can let someone
know they are down? I don't know if they work outside. Scary to live all
alone because of instances like this. Glad she is recovering.
