Sue took these pictures Feb 15. , with her new Can Rebel SLR Digital camera I bought for her birthday back in January.
The snow roads and feed grounds are on around 2 feet of packed snow. Was not too hard keeping snow roads this winter not much wind or heavy snow fall making it hard to stay on them.
My daughter has been feeding for me this winter since my shoulder surgery. This last week I have been feeding and she has been calving.

That's one nice daughter you have there, jody. You deal with a
whole lot of snow...

Glad your shoulder is healing/healed up.
Dr Is very cautions, said 2 more weeks really easy PT . He still is talking shoulder replacement.

oh our snow uselly is gone by 3rd week in April. but last year we still had snow pack on the meadows the 1st of June , the latest I have ever seen it. Mid May is very Later and the 1st of April thing only seen that a couple of times.

Why don't you have a grapple fork on your loader?? Only the sodbusters that don't have any cows have a loader without a grapple on it around here.

Glad to see you haven't lost your help to that rancher from up the valley  :D
there a young rancher in a valley 50 miles south that been chasing her. he be a good SIL.He is 8 years older, but then he more settled down too.

Great pics Jody. Happy belated birthday to your Mrs., and best wishes to your shoulder healing well.

It's great to have family when tough times hit isn't it? When I broke my collar bone trimming a colt a few years back, my wife was awful green to ranch life, and my Mom and Dad helped her do chores and just generally get done what needed doin'. It's a good feeling to know they're there.

Brrrr. Those cows seem to be enjoying standing in cold water  . They must be starting a bovine polar bear club  . When will you start to calve? Your daughter has done a great job taking care of the cattle while you're healing up.

thursday was the start date but we actually started last sunday. got a dozen or so on the ground.
Did orer a semi load of big barley straw bales....

For what it is worth, I had rotator cuff on one shoulder, replacement on the other. Sympathize (-3sp) with you. When you get a go ahead on pt, do it religiously. It HURTS with a capitol H. I am of the opinion that therapy is as important as the surgeon. Both mine work like new now, but ocaisionally I still get out the bands and work them for a few days to get them limbered up again.

Daughters can be pretty handy. I had three of them, and they all made a hand.

Nice pictures. Is Tenny taking time off from college? Good luck with the shoulder, don't do too much too soon! Do you have more or less snow than last year?

Tenny sit out this year, She helped roundup last fall:then fed this winter. She did take a couple correspondences classes.

Snow pack only about 90% but there still 6 -7 weeks to pack it in up higher I hope.

I have torn both rotator cuffs 2x. Only needed surgery 1x. That one really grinds but works. Ditto on the physical therapy. I am pretty motivated but the pt really helped.

It is very important to do the homework the therapist asks you to do.
