Summer pasture update

I was happy to get some cows out to grass on Saturday, but cows like two cows were happier!

Their calves are enjoying some freedom and grass as well. these bull calves and hfrs will be a big part of my marketing program this fall and breeding program into the future

The cattle and grass conditions look great. Those are sure some big stout meaty looking calves. They should enhance anyone's breeding program. Nice job.

The cattle are having a great year - - - except the one that was laying beside the corn crib in a thunder storm.

I have only had then on 2 pastures so far and they can't seem to keep up with the 2 let alone the other 4 - - - I will hay the areas flat enough and stock pile a bunch of grass again.

These calves started 4/3/14 and the last one was 5/5/14 - - - One bull and 18 cows - - - he then went to a neighbors to clean up after 16 AIed for fall cows.
