I was trying to get pics of the better-looking steers out of over 70 of the rest. It was hard to decide, because they all looked good. AND healthy.

Biggest simmi of all simmi's (in the herd, of course)

Char-Herf-Angus(?) X - he looks flighty, but actually he only has a flight zone of a little under 3 feet around me. ;-)

Here he is again...side view

LimmiX - another docile one.

They look real good young lady. You enjoying your summer???

Thanks. Same to you Aaron.

Yeah, considering a little minor headache after unsuccessfully trying to get four wild steers home from the neighbor's barley field.

And of course, it was too wet (had a bad thunderstorm the previous night:reason why they're there in the first place) to drive truck or quad, and we don't own any horses (which could've come in handy, IF we had a couple), forgot to bring a couple feed pails with us to try to persuade them home, and of course you wouldn't wanna ruin the neighbor's GPS-seeded feild just to chase after a bunch of ruddy, ornery steers that wouldn't let you touch them with a 50-foot pole. Oh, and then there's road construction on top of it all, with the machinery scaring the crap out of them, and a few other things...

Anyway, they're in with the neighbor's cow herd, broke down the electric fence when we tried to herd them home, so they'll be taught to smarten up with a lot of cows with horns plus a couple big bulls. So far, no complaints about them causing any trouble with the cows.

So, yeah, I had a pretty good summer. :D
