Not gonna do a poll on this question, want people to answer in a post.

Friend and I were talkin, men seem to have pet names for women more often than women do for men.
I"m not referrin to them names you get called when ya'll are workin cows, those don't count.
Other than sugar, honey, sweetie, do any of you men have a pet name, or we could call it a nick name that your wife or significant other calls you.
Women feel free to share what your fella's call you too.

I'll start it off.....and fess up....I don't have a pet name for Mr Lilly....other than "Mr Lilly" on here....at home he gets called by his first name. But he calls me "Goober" and I have no idea why. LOL

For 25+ years it was "mother"--easy to remember because I heard her called that night and day...Now its been change to "grandma"...

When Greg and I were first married and up until we had our son,he called me Heifer, when Preg.with Dustin I told him I didn't mind heifer BUT it better not change to cow after baby  Anyway now he calls me woman, guess its better then the alternative :P Doesn't bother me never has,but I remember Gregs Aunt giving him supreme crap when he called me heifer in front of her :o Shes kinda a Fuddy Duddy anyway..lol

As for calling him a name...only when he pees me off,and I can't write that on a public forum

I had a lot of nicknames growing up with friends and stuff and since my wife is the only person from back than that I still talk to I still get called the nicknames from her and my family. Sometimes the inlaws call me it to since I was around them since the time I was 16 but not to much... The main one that has stuck around has been Ants. Has something to do with a friend who couldn't pronounce my name so this is what came out instand.. antsony which than became Ants.

As far as a specific name that my wife alone calls me.. Nothing that is legal to print here

My friends who I grew up with and family call me trinie. I always know when it is someone from home because they call me that. I embarassed my self yesterday when we were testing bulls. I call my husband honey in front of the vet and vet tech. Usally I call my hubby Dad or his first name. He calls me either mom or katrina.

My full first name is Kristina, so my folks called me Tina (lord, I hated that name....still do!!) and my Dad called me Beaner because I was so danged skinny (ohhhh, to be there again  ).....hubby calls me Kristina when he is being serious and "gorgeous" otherwise...poor man really needs to have his prescription glasses updated!!   The hubby grew up being called "Cowboy" by the majority of townfolk and the kids call him "Dad" (his all-time favorite) or "old fart"  (Don't know where they could have come up with that one  )

Some of the other nicknames growing up in my family were stick, because I was so skinny (We are talking 5 feet 2 and weighing 80 pounds. I hate like crazy but couldn't put on weight..Not a problem anymore), whisp, same reason and than a whole bunch of plays on Anthony including twanz which was a play of Antoine and those two names were ones I hated...

My grandparents called my aunt Chub and my dad Jug.

The oddest name I ever called my wife was pudge.. And she was the one who came up with that one... Never made sense as she was a skinny litle thing back than.. Still is. I basically call her Sand, I guess Sandy is too long to say.

My wife calls me "dumb a$$".............in an affectionate way

I call her..............from a phone(safe distance)

My wife I call X.
My girlfriend I call often.
My daughter I call darlin and or sweetheart.
My dog I call buddyrow.

I refer to my husband as the lesser half online (got tired of "DH"), but in real life he's "Love" or "Trap" (a family nick-name he's had since childhood). "Dear" usually precedes some bone I have to pick... lol

I'm either "my bride" or just Erin. ("My bride" always throws people who don't know us very well. "Oh! Newlyweds." )

One thing, you can always tell if you are in trouble...they call you first and middle name. :)

no doubt!! the kids always know they have done SOMETHING wrong when i say "riley reed" or "flint james" or "jessica marie"....even the hubby ("jesse Reed") is not safe!!

I nick named my wife "Elsie" after that old native woman on North of Sixty.
I nicknamed my daughter "Tater Diesel".

I call the missus "peatswee". A play on word for sweetpea. She calls me that also. We refer to each other, when the kids are around, as your mother/father, grampa/gramma or dad/mom.

We never call each other bad names.

My youngest son's name is Brock. He is now seventeen. Several years ago, he went to an oil painting class. The teacher "helped" him quite a bit, and the painting of mountains and trees turned out pretty good. He was proud of his artwork, and hung it at the local gas station/cafe, where other aspiring artists had hung their accomplishments. A local lady wanted to buy the painting, so my kid proudly sold it for $50, thinking he could come up with another one. (This wasn't as easy as he thought, since the teacher was no longer there to "help" him paint it. ) Anyway, I teased him about being such a notable artist, and started calling him "Norman Brockwell". The "Norman" part stuck, so anymore I usually call him "Norm". :)
