Location
Big Muddy valley
around some of the grasslands in southern Saskatchewan. People are in many of the pictures and we were dealing with lots of smoke,

Some of this is the East Block of Grasslands National Park. The good grass with the black cow and one with 3 calves are on my friend Orin paces west of Mankota.
Enjoy

Thanks for sharing the tour. The terrain and grass cover looks a lot like here, with some steeper appearing slopes there, and some here. Great grass, and reading the sign, quite a few of the same grasses, we having only western wheatgrass and not the other two listed there. I think we have more forbs like lead plant (bumper year for that here) and others. Here, there are quite a few trees and shrubs in the draws, depending on location. I think some must have been lost during the drouth years of the '30s and haven't come back on some ranches. The fence around the lone tree is something we are doing here to protect some individual trees from deer and cattle. We also have at least a couple of blue stem grasses, maybe three this year. It is getting the pretty red color now with some cooler weather here. But the long vista's are similar to what we see from our higher hills. All very interesting and pretty.
