My team had a terrible road trip a month ago-lost five regulars to injury and had to play three games in 2 1/2 days with only two lines and four defence. We played Watson Rockets the last game and they cleaned up on us 12-1. Well tonight they came to our barn-I called up five affiliated players-Ty's two old linemates from Bantam and reunited them. We taught the boys the 1-2-2 forecheck-they just scorched us with their breakout in Watson. Well we spanked them 10-4 with our backup goalie in net-thirteen different kids got points. It was one of the most satisfying wins I've had as a coach. Kind of bittersweet-our captain got called up to AAA so it was his last game for us-he made it a good one had a five pointer.
