What is the TDN of loomix
jigs said:loomix is some pretty good stuff, the rain don't bother it, very minimal waste, and I think it did a 180 degree turn around on my cows. I ran them on bt corn stalks a few years ago, once the ears were gone the cows went down hill fast, had a tough time getting them back up into condition...brought in the loomix, and they just "bloomed" I am sold on it. personally think there is nothing better.
plus, the ex-sherriff that delivers it here is a rather entertaining guy!

Have you ever had problems regulating consumption? That's the biggest concern I've heard with liquid feeds.

Cowman,
From what I have read about loomix, the product is not so much about containing a direct TDN value as much as it is really about producing a TDN value, depending on what you are feeding your cattle in addition to Loomix. In other words, Loomix with other feed offered, produces a higher TDN than if only feed were were offered.
This article on their website was very helpful on the subject.

Apparently, the product produces a bacterial environment in their rumen system which allows them to consume more forage (grass or hay or whatever) and convert it to a better TDN value. Do I have that right?
