I don't text, I don't know how and I don't care to know. There is no cell service where I live, but I do have a cell phone that I will take with me when I travel just in case of an emergency. I have it off most of the time if I'm in town unless I'm expecting a call. I've never felt the need to be hanging on the phone, whether its the cell or my home phone. I rarely use either one.

I see nothing wrong with the days before cell phones, when people actually phoned you on your home phone when you were at home or left a message on your answering machine.
